A Guide To All The Holiday Markets Opening In NYC This Season
One of the best things about the holiday season in the city is our amazingly festive holiday markets!
Since October ended, a number of holiday markets, ice rinks, and themed-bars have quickly been popping up across New York City. And as Christmastime approaches, we’ll begin to see hordes of tourists flock to most of these holiday destinations and, of course, the Rockefeller Center Tree Lighting Ceremony. If you don’t mind maneuvering through some crowds for a slice of the city’s Christmas spirit you should definitely check out these holiday markets when they open. Have we mention most of them have top notch hot chocolate vendors, too? An absolute must for sipping while perusing the shops on those cold winter days!
Here’s a list of the winter markets across NYC, where they are and when they’re open.
Oct 31 – Jan 5: Winter Village at Bryant Park
- Bryant Park: Between 40th Street & 41st Street, on 6th Avenue
- Holiday Market Hours:
- Monday – Friday: 11 a.m.-8 p.m.
- Saturday & Sunday: 10 a.m.- 8 p.m.
- Ice Rink:
- Daily from 8 a.m.-10 p.m.
Nov 12 – Dec 24: Grand Central Holiday Fair
- Vanderbilt Hall, Grand Central Terminal: 89 E 42nd St
- Holiday Market Hours (*currently based on last year’s hours):
- Monday – Friday 10 a.m.–8 p.m.
- Saturday 10 a.m.–7 p.m.
- Sunday 11 a.m.–6 p.m.
- Closed Thanksgiving
- Christmas Eve 10 a.m.–6 p.m.
Nov 21 – Dec 24: Union Square Holiday Market
- Union Square Park: Between 14th Street & 17th Street, and between Union Square West & Union Square East
- Holiday Market Hours :
- Monday – Friday 11 a.m.–8 p.m.
- Saturday 10 a.m.–8 p.m.
- Sunday 11 a.m.–7 p.m.
Nov 24 – Dec 22: Grand Holiday Bazaar
- Grand Bazaar NYC: 100 West 77th Street (UWS)
- Holiday Market Hours:
- Every Sunday from 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
Dec 4 – Dec 24: Columbus Circle Holiday Market
- Columbus Circle: 59th Street & Central Park West
- Holiday Market Hours:
- Monday – Saturday 10 a.m.–8 p.m.
- Sunday 10 a.m.–7 p.m.
Dec 1, 8, 15: Astoria Market’s Holiday Shopping
- Bohemian Hall and Beer Garden: 29-19 24th Avenue (Astoria)
- Holiday Market Hours:
- First 3 Sundays of December from 12 p.m.-6 p.m.
