The three-tower Upper West Side complex encircle a 2.6-acre park
A little over two years after condo sales launched at the starchitect-designed Waterline Square on the Upper West Side (part of the Riverside Master Plan megaproject), leasing has started for the complex’s pricey rentals.
Developed by GID Development Group, Waterline Square is now renting 868 studio to four-bedroom apartments. The whole project includes three towers that encircle a 2.6-acre park: One Waterline Square, designed by Richard Meier & Partners; Two Waterline Square, designed by KPF; and Three Waterline Square, designed by Rafael Viñoly Architects.
Studios at the complex start $3,938/month; one-bedrooms at $5,425/month; two-bedrooms at $8,625/month; three-bedrooms at $9,933/month; and four-bedrooms at $15,000/month.
Some of the rentals’s features include floor-to-ceiling windows, walk-in closets, in-unit washer/dryers, and interiors designed by Champalimaud, Yabu Pushelberg and Groves & Co.
Amenities for residents of the towers include dog-washing facilities, private storage, and complimentary shuttle service to and from Columbus Circle. Each tower also has resident’s lounges, libraries, and common terraces. Residents will also have access to the 100,000-square-foot Waterline Club, designed by Rockwell Group, that will have, among other things, spaces for children, an indoor tennis court, a 30-foot rock-climbing wall, and a half-pipe skate park.
The park, designed by Matthews Nielsen Landscape Architects, will have a children’s playground, cascading water features, and a flowering meadow.
The development is located between 59th and 61th streets on Riverside Boulevard. Move-ins for the rentals began last month, and amenities will be officially completed by the end of the year, a spokesperson for the developer said.
