Welcome to Comparisons, a weekly column that explores what one can buy for a set dollar amount in various NYC neighborhoods. Is one man’s studio another man’s townhouse? Let’s find out! Today, we’re looking at apartments for sale for around $1.3 million.

It’s located on West End Avenue, between 85th and 86th streets, steps from the 1 train at 86th street, and a four-minute walk to Riverside Park.

It’s located on East 9th Street, between Broadway and University Place, steps from the R, and W trains at 8th street, and near Washington Square Park.
