Welcome to Comparisons, a weekly column that explores what one can buy for a set dollar amount in various NYC neighborhoods. Is one man’s studio another man’s townhouse? Let’s find out! Today, we’re looking at apartments for sale for around $500,000.

Its location is what makes this unit stand out: It sits on East 9th Street, close to Washington Square Park and the R and W trains at 8th Street.

It has plenty going for it: It’s been renovated and has a living room area, a dishwasher, and a private balcony with views of the Verrazzano Bridge. The building allows both cats and dogs and has a common laundry room. It’s located in a building on 64th Street near the N and R trains at 59th Street.

The building accepts both cats and dogs and has a common laundry room. It’s located on Grand Concourse, a short walk to Yankee Stadium, the Bronx Museum of the Arts, and the B and D trains at 161st Street.
